Although
Provincetown is located at the very tip of Cape Cod, it is easily
accessible by car, bus, ferry, and air. Provincetown is only
a 2.5 hour drive from Providence and Providence’s T.F.
Green Airport and 2.5 - 3 hour drive from Boston and Boston’s
Logan Airport. Or, you can take a high-speed ferry during the
season, from Boston to Provincetown. There is also a ferry that
runs between Plymouth MA, and Provincetown. If you have the
time, buses travel regularly from Boston to Provincetown. For
a real treat, take a plane from Boston’s Logan Airport
to Provincetown. It’s only 20 minutes but the view of
Provincetown and Cape Cod is fantastic.
Once you are in Provincetown, you really don’t need a car. Walk or
ride a bike to anywhere. But if that’s not your pleasure, there are
several cab companies, pedicabs, and a subsidized shuttle bus
that can take you wherever you wish to go.
